How long are resumes kept on file?
Six months.

Can I apply for more than one position?
Yes, you are encouraged to apply to any and all positions that you are qualified for and that are of interest to you.

I don't see a posted opportunity that interests me. Can I submit my resume for future opportunities?
If you have viewed our current opportunities and there is not a position that interests you, please submit your resume and covering letter for future consideration. Indicate on your resume the specific position/area of interest. Your resume will be kept on file for 6 months, thereafter, you must resubmit your application if you wish to be still considered for employment.

What can I expect after submitting my application?

What documentation will I be required to submit?
Successful candidates will be required to submit the following documentation prior to commencing employment:

  • Original transcript of your qualifications
  • Valid Ontario Driver's Licence
  • Recent Vulnerable Sector Screening
  • Proof of third party liability insurance coverage in an amount of t least one million dollars, which shall include coverage for the transportation of clients, including children.

Does York Region Children's Aid Society accept student placements.
