WHEN SHOULD I CALL CAS?
We all share a responsibility to protect children from harm.
Ontario's Child and Family Services Act (CFSA) provides for the
protection of children. If someone has reasonable grounds to suspect that
a child is or may be in need of protection, they must make a report directly
to a CAS.
A phone call to us will bring help to a child who is
being or at-risk of being abused or neglected.
If you suspect child neglect or abuse,
please call us immediately.
905.895.2318 | 1.800.718.3850
We are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
You do not need proof of abuse or neglect, your suspicions are
enough. The CAS is responsible for investigating and assessing abuse and neglect,
and the ultimate case management.
